Liz Bacon

Liz began studying classical ballet at the tender age of two, continuing through her teens.  Her dance background has helped her to understand the body from a movement perspective and also to see and understand the connection with body and mind.  Her love affair with yoga, was not love-at-first-sight, but something kept drawing her back.  In 2010 Liz realized how important her yoga practice was when it helped her through a difficult time in her life. She had found a physical path that harmonized her mind, body and soul.  She began practicing more often and wanted to share the gift of yoga with others. Her passion for teaching yoga stems from her experience with its power to—quite simply—make life better.  Liz completed her 200 hour teacher training at West Hartford Yoga with Barbara Ruzansky.  This program built a strong foundation and understanding of the practice.  Forever a student of yoga, Liz travels widely for unique yoga experiences to further her teaching. Her classes are an energetic vinyasa flow with emphasis on breath, strength and lots of heart and hip openers.

In addition to her dedicated practice, Liz loves music, travel, fashion and great food.  She continues to create a life filled with things she loves, people who inspire and challenge her to grow, and new adventures everyday.
